Incentives in South Africa 

In short, foreign productions can receive 25% of the South African spend, if the minimum spend is R1.5m.  If R10m or more is spent in post-production in SA then the rebate can be raised to 27.5% capped at 50m Rand. With a local post-production expenditure of at least R15m the rebate becomes 30%.  A minimum of 20% of the local qualified expenditure must be involving entities whose majority shareholding are of black skin colour.  The rebate granted is capped at R25m.
